TSR's Storm Alert service is a free e-mail based early warning system designed to help organisations, governments and individuals prepare for tropical cyclone impacts. Alerts are issued when tropical storm (39+ mph) or hurricane-force (74+ mph) winds are forecast to affect land with a significant probability. Each alert is colour-coded based on the level of risk:
Subscribers can choose the alert frequency and alert severity, and either the oceanic basin(s) or country(s) for which to receive alerts. If subscribers want to receive the highest level of alerts, they should choose Green, every 6 hours and All Oceanic Basins
With countries and cities' proximity to risk quantified, TSR’s alert system is trusted by humanitarian agencies, insurers, and public authorities worldwide for delivering clear, actionable warnings - when every hour counts.
